As a public sector body, we recognise the importance of best value services that are well-governed and effectively monitored. To do this we have four directorates that carry out our statutory and workforce development role and provide support functions.
Regulation brings together registration, fitness to practise and hearings as one unified process. The directorate is here to protect the public and the safety and welfare of people who use social services.
Our Development and Innovation team is split into two key functions. The learning and development team support the social service workforce in qualifications, leadership and digital learning. Workforce planning supports the sustainability of health and social care working closely with Scottish Government, COSLA and senior leaders in the social service sector.
Our Strategy and Performance Directorate leads the development, implementation and communication of our strategy by positioning the organisation to achieve maximum impact and excellence. Within this directorate we have our Digital Services, Performance and Improvement and Communications teams.
Finance and Resources is made up of HR, Finance and Estates, Health and Safety, a service we share with the Care Inspectorate, and our own Legal and Corporate Governance team.
