Funding for social work study
Undergraduates can apply for funding from the Student Awards Agency Scotland.
We administer the postgraduate bursary scheme for eligible students.
A Practice Learning Support Grant is available for students undertaking an approved social work programme to support them during practice placements.
The Distance Learning Transition Fund offers support to local authorities for distance learning social work qualifications.
Social workers wanting to train as practice educators in Scotland can apply for funding from the Practice Educator Fund.
Local areas with Mental Health Officer (MHO) provision shortfalls will be able to apply to the Mental Health Officer Qualification Fund.
