Continuous professional learning

We are reviewing our post registration and learning (PRTL) process, which has been the same since our Register for social workers opened in 2003.

We play a key role in supporting workforce planning and development for the social service sector in Scotland.

The digital learning team offers a wide range of learning resources and services to support workforce development in the sector.

Self-directed support and integration

We work across a number of policy areas in the context of health and social care integration, including dementia, personal outcomes and palliative and end of life care.

Mental health officers

We design and develop skills and learning resources to support the continuous professional learning of the mental health officer (MHO) workforce.

Newly qualified social workers

We have two main projects supporting newly qualified social workers (NQSWs).
