What is multi factor authentication (MFA)?

Multi factor authentication is added security, helping to make sure only the authorised user can access MySSSC. You will receive a security code by email or text message. You will only be allowed access to MySSSC after entering the code, as well as your email and password.

How do I get my security code?

If we have your mobile phone number, you will receive your security code by text message.

If we do not have your mobile phone number, you will receive your security code by email. When both your mobile phone number and email address are in your MySSSC account, you will have the option to receive the code by email or text message.

My account is locked - what has happened?

After repeatedly entering the incorrect security code, the associated MySSSC account will be locked for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes you can request a new security code and try again.

I’m getting an invalid code error message – what does this mean?

The security code is valid for five minutes. If you enter the code after five minutes you will get an invalid code error. You may also be entering the wrong code. If you are entering the code within five minutes of issue, please check your code and try again.

Should I select ‘remember this browser’?

Multi factor authentication is designed to enhance security, further protecting your data. We do not recommend you select ‘remember this browser’ especially if using a shared device.
