Changing your role

If you change the job that you are doing, this may mean you will have to change the part of the Register that you are on. You should discuss this with your employer and if you do need to change then you should end your employment through your MySSSC account and we will remove you from the part of the Register you are currently on. This is because you cannot remain on a part of the Register which does not correspond to your current work role.

You will then need to apply to be on the right part of the Register by creating a new application through MySSSC.

Although we will remove you from the previous part of the Register, you will still have six months from the date you started in your new position within which to be registered on the appropriate part of the Register for your new role, without your ability to work being affected.

You must complete the new application form and send verified copies of any qualification certificates not sent before.

Re-applying after a period off the Register

If you were previously removed from the Register because you were no longer working in a job where you needed to be registered, but you now need to be registered again, you will need to re-apply for registration. You should do this through your MySSSC account and you will have six months from the date you started in your new position within which to be registered. If you re-apply within six months of your last fee due date and this was paid, then you do not have to pay another application fee.

Additional roles

If you need to register in an additional role because you have two different jobs, you can apply for additional registration through your MySSSC account. You do not have to pay another application fee but will pay whichever fee is higher when your next annual fee is due.
