Our vision
The plan’s vision is to make sure that social work, social care, children and young people services are delivered by a trusted and skilled workforce, providing high quality care to those in need.
We are committed to improving regulatory performance, updating qualification standards, advancing digital and leadership skills and engaging with stakeholders to inform our priorities.
Our outcomes
We carried out research with our stakeholders over the summer to inform our priorities. Their feedback is reflected in how we will deliver our outcomes.
This consultation outlines four key outcomes.
- Trusted – People who use services are protected by a regulated workforce that is fit to practise.
- Skilled – Our work supports the workforce to deliver high standards of professional practice.
- Confident – Our work enhances the confidence, competence and the careers opportunities of the workforce.
- Valued – the workforce is understood, heard and acknowledged for the work they do.
We invite you to share your views on the proposed outcomes and suggest additional priorities to help shape the future of Scotland’s social service Workforce.
