We have an exciting opportunity within our Digital Learning team for a modern apprentice.
The post holder will contribute to the design, development, testing and maintenance of digital systems and services. The role combines on-the-job experience with formal training, enabling the post holder to develop technical skills, problem solving ability and an understanding of professional software development practices within a collaborative environment.
This Modern Apprenticeship is funded in partnership with Skills Development Scotland. Due to funding, priority is given to applicants aged 16 to 24 years old (or aged 16 to 29 for those with additional support needs or who are care-experienced). For this reason, we will ask for your age on your application.
The proposed start date for this post is the week commencing 17 August 2026.
This role is not suitable for secondment arrangements
What you need to succeed
The role aligns with the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the relevant Modern Apprenticeship framework for Digital Technology (Software Development) at SCQF Level 6.
The starting salary for this post will be at the minimum point of the advertised pay scale.
