Career Development resource

The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) has developed a Career Development resource. This interactive resource has been developed for staff working in the social care, children, early years and young people’s workforce.

The Career Development resource is a web resource which has information on qualifications and career pathways to help staff make informed choices and decisions about their future career. It also includes a number of case studies which give real-world examples of career development in the sector. The resource will help staff plan their ongoing learning and development to help them achieve their career goals.

What equipment do I need to access the resource?

Although the resource can be used on slower connections, a DSL connection is recommended. The guide is also optimised to work in Internet Explorer 5 or above.

Using the resource

The resource is an aid to get staff thinking about their career. It is not intended to be the only resource they will use. You don’t have to use the whole resource at once.
