This page provides information for anyone who wants to check a social service worker's registration.
What does "registration status" mean?
- Registered means that the person is currently registered.
- Interim suspension means that the person's registration has been suspended on an interim basis as a precautionary measure following a decision of a Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee.
- Suspended means that the person's registration has been suspended following a decision of a Conduct Sub-committee.
- Removed means that a person has been removed from the Register following a decision of a Conduct Sub-committee.
Information on the outcomes of all Preliminary Proceedings and Conduct Sub-committee hearings can be found on the Protecting the public section.
You can search a social service worker's record using first name, surname, previous town, town of employment or Scottish Social Service Council's registration number; you do not need to enter information in all sections.
The search facility provides automatic "wild card" searching, eg Robert will give Robert, Roberts and Robertson.
