Interim Suspension Order (ISO)

Where there is an allegation of misconduct the SSSC may decide it is necessary for the protection of the public, in the public interest or in the interests of the individual concerned, to consider whether the registrant should be suspended from the Register as an interim measure. The hearing which considers whether to impose an ISO will be held in private unless the social service worker asks for it to be in public. The social service worker and any relevant employer will be informed of the outcome and social service workers have the right of appeal to the Sheriff.

The ISO is a precautionary measure and should not be seen as prejudicial to the registrant. It is possible that when the alleged misconduct is further investigated or if the case is heard by a Conduct Sub-committee that it will be found that the registrant has not committed misconduct. It is for that reason that the SSSC limits the information it makes public following the imposition of an ISO to the name of the registrant, their registration number and the period for which the ISO will be in force.

An ISO can be reviewed at the request of either the SSSC or the social service worker and the Order continued, varied or revoked, or a new Order imposed.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 3 February 2012

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 3 February 2012 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on Alex Mortimer, a registered Practitioner in a Day Care of Children Service, registration number 2057709, for a period of six months.  The order came into effect on 7 February 2012.  

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 15 December 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 15 December 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on John Ritchie Fraser, a registered Social Worker, registration number 1120201, for a period of six months. The order came into effect on 17 December 2011.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 2 December 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 2 December 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on Dawn McMillan, a registered Manager of a Day Care of Children Service, registration number 2040755, for a period of six months.  The order came into effect on 6 December 2011.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 25 November 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 25 November 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on Jonathan Moffat, a registered social worker, registration number 1023135, for a period of six months.  The order came into effect on 3 December 2011.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 4 November 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 4 November 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on Andrena McCue, a registered Manager of a Day Care of Children Service, registration number 2008254, for a period of six months.  The order came into effect on 9 November 2011.

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 13 October 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on Kevin Clark, a registered Social Worker, registration number 1098140, for a period of six months.  The order came into effect on 19 October 2011.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 12 August 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee (PPSC) met on 12 August 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order (ISO) on Louise McHugh, a registered Residential Child Care Worker, registration number 2071741, for a period of six months. 

The PPSC met again on 3 February 2012 and imposed a further ISO for a period of nine months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 16 February 2012.  The decision came into effect on 7 February 2012.

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee (PPSC) met on 3 August 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order (ISO) on Stuart McDonald, a registered social worker, registration number 1144306, for a period of six months. 

The PPSC met again on 20 January 2012 and imposed a further ISO for a period of six months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 5 February 2012.  The decision came into effect on 26 January 2012.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 27 July 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee (PPSC) met on 27 July 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order (ISO) on Sean Bennett, a registered Residential Child Care Worker, registration number 2038002, for a period of six months. 

The PPSC met again on 17 January 2012 and imposed a further ISO for a period of six months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 29 January 2012.  The decision came into effect on 19 January 2012.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 22 July 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee (PPSC) met on 22 July 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order (ISO) on Leeanne Hose, a registered Supervisor in a Care Home Service for Adults, registration number 2046775, for a period of six months. The order came into effect on 28 July 2011.

The PPSC met again on 13 January 2012 and imposed a further ISO for a period of six months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 28 January 2012.  The decision came into effect on 18 January 2012.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 20 July 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 20 July 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on David Barbour, a registered residential child care worker, registration number 2032454, for a period of six months.  The order came into effect on 23 July 2011.

The PPSC met again on 13 January 2012 and imposed a further ISO for a period of 10 months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 23 January 2012.  The decision came into effect on 18 January 2012.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 29 June 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 29 June 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on Leanne Reid, a registered Practitioner in a Day Care of Children Service, registration number 2007564, for a period of six months. The order came into effect on 2 July 2011.

The PPSC met again on 8 December 2011 and imposed a further ISO for a period of nine months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 2 January 2012.  The decision came into effect on 15 December 2011.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 17 June 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 17 June 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on Janice Glover, a registered practitioner in a care home service for adults, registration number 2040149, for a period of six months.  The order came into effect on 22 June 2011.

The PPSC met again on 17 November 2011 and imposed a further ISO for a period of nine months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 22 December 2011.  This decision came into effect on 24 November 2011.

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 2 June 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on Ashley Pittner, a registered practitioner in a day care of children service, registration number 2030701, for a period of six months. The order came into effect on 8 June 2011.

The PPSC met again on 3 November 2011 and imposed a further ISO for a period of nine months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 8 December 2011.  This decision came into effect on 10 November 2011.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 26 April 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 26 April 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on Dean Reekie, a registered residential child care worker, registration number 1148790, for a period of six months.  The order came into effect on 4 May 2011. 

The PPSC met again on 7 October 2011 and imposed a further ISO for a period of six months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 4 November 2011.  This decision came into effect on 15 October 2011.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 23 March 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 23 March 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on Douglas Taylor, a registered residential child care worker, registration number 2033133, for a period of six months. The order came into effect on 29 March 2011.

The PPSC met again on 16 September 2011 and imposed a further ISO for a period of six months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 28 September 2011. This decision came into effect on 20 September 2011.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 7 February 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee (PPSC) met on 7 February 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order (ISO) on David Bannigan, a registered Residential Child Care Worker, registration number 2033254, for a period of six months. 

The PPSC met again on the 21 July 2011 and imposed a further ISO for a period of six months to commence on expiry of the existing ISO on 9 August 2010.  This decision came into effect on 27 July 2011.

The PPSC met again on 19 January 2012 and imposed a further ISO for a period of nine months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 10 February 2012.  This decision came into effect on 21 January 2012.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 2 February 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee met on 2 February 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order on Sandor Serban-Trill, a registered supervisor in a care home service for adults, registration number 2041028 for a period of six months. The order came into effect on 05 February 2011. 

The PPSC met again on 20 July 2011 and imposed a further ISO for a period of nine months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 4 August 2011.  This decision came into effect on 23 July 2011.

Interim Suspension Order imposed on 21 January 2011

The Preliminary Proceedings Sub-committee (PPSC) met on 21 January 2011 and imposed an Interim Suspension Order (ISO) on Scott Millar, a registered Residential Child Care Worker, registration number 2031713, for a period of six months. 

The PPSC met again on 13 July 2011 and imposed a further ISO for a period of six months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 24 July 2011. This decision came into effect on 16 July 2011.

The PPSC met again on 18 January 2012 and imposed a further ISO for a period of six months to commence on the expiry of the original ISO on 25 January 2012.  This decision came into effect on 20 January 2012.
