Scottish Ministers are making up to £1m available this year to voluntary sector providers of social services to help develop and train key workers.
The Voluntary Sector Development Fund (VSDF) supports small and medium sized voluntary organisations to build a competent workforce by helping to cover the costs of achieving qualifications required for registration with the SSSC. VSDF, now in its eighth year will assist with the costs of achieving Scottish Vocational Qualifications, Personal Development Awards and participation in leadership programmes for managers.
Funding will be available this year for the following groups:
- managers, supervisors, practitioners and support workers in care home services for adults
- managers of adult day care services
- managers of housing support services
- managers of care at home services.
To apply to the fund, please download and complete the application form, guidance notes and equality monitoring.
Completed applications must be sent in hard copy to Scottish Government by 11 November 2011 to:
