The Association of Directors of Social Work have launched the Social Work Challenge, a game where you play the role of a social worker faced with a series of decisions in a child protection case.
You have to use your judgement to make choices that you think are most likely to lead to a positive outcome for the child and the scenarios are inspired by real life examples.
The challenge is designed to help people understand the difficult decisions that social workers must make when assessing individual circumstances. More scenarios using the same format, focussing on other areas of social work services such as care of older people, criminal justice and support for people with disabilities will be available in the future.
You can play the Social Work Challenge on the ADSW website.
