Skills for Care and Development, the Sector Skills Council for people working in the social care, children and young people's sector in the UK, has published its Annual Report.
SfCD Annual Report 2009 to 2010 (232.35 kB)
The SSSC is one of the six organisations that are part of SfCD. Further information on our activities and contribution, as well as the funding, will be contained in our annual report which will be published on this website in the first week of December.
There are significant differences in social service and early years policy, legislation and local delivery mechanisms across the four UK countries. However, SfCD brings a coherence to that landscape for workforce development and planning purposes. It enables us to influence UK skills policy and to identify trends which are relevant to us all.
We would be happy to have your views on the report and our work as a sector skills council. Let us know what you think the big issues are for employers in our sector and any ideas you have on how to address them, or what our priorities should be in Scotland or indeed across the UK. You can do this by emailing us at consultations@sssc.uk.com
