Education Secretary Michael Russell has made a statement to Parliament on the reform of post-16 education. It follows the First Minister's announcement of 'Opportunities for All' which will ensure every 16-to-19 year old has a place in learning or training by the end of this financial year.
The proposals, some of which will lead to legislation in late 2012, encompass the skills, college and university sectors. They will provide affordable, sustainable and high quality learning opportunities that are better aligned to Scotland's economic needs.
The Scottish Government is now asking for your comments and views on their ambitions for post-16 Education.
