The Scottish Society for Autism has announced  that a group of 32 Autism Practitioners has successfully completed therir Professional Development Awards (PDAs) in Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

The Practice Learning (Social Services) PDAs are designed to provide participants with the competence and confidence to critically evaluate their practice in supporting individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, to be reflective practitioners and to engage in continuing professional development.

Staff completing the course gained a broader range of knowledge about autism as well as the confidence to put this knowledge into practice.

The Scottish Society for Autism is planning to deliver the Professional Development Awards to external organisations that are interested in developing their staff in Autism Specific Awards.
