The University of Stirling is working with partners the Scottish Consortium for Learning Disability, the Service User and Carer Forum, and the Voluntary Sector Social Services Workforce Unit on a project commissioned by the SSSC to explore leadership activity across Scotland's social services and to identify gaps and development needs in this area. We would like to give as many people as possible the opportunity to contribute their views and experiences to this project.
One of the ways in which we are seeking to collect information from individuals is through a survey using SurveyMonkey. The survey will take about twenty minutes. All responses are anonymous - no identifying information is being collected.
To participate in the survey, click on this internet link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5S38JQJ
If for any reason this does not work, copy and paste the link into the URL address box at the top of your internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc). You should then be directed to the start of the survey. If you have any problems accessing the survey, please email alison.dawson@stir.ac.uk and we will try to assist you.
We are interested in hearing about the views and experiences of all people working in Scottish social services at all levels within their respective organisations, so please pass this link on to colleagues who may not have received it directly. Thank you for your help with this project. For your views to be included in the project, you must complete the survey before 16 October 2010.
We are also collecting information for this project via a survey to organisations that provide social services in Scotland, a number of focus groups in different locations around Scotland and a series of telephone interviews. Organisations and individuals will be contacted directly regarding participation in these.
The SSSC is holding a series of events in November 2010 to look at the vision for leadership in social services in Scotland, based on the evidence from the scoping and engagement. Click here to find out more about the events.
