Improving Scotland’s health

The front cover of the CMOs report.

Scotland's Chief Medical Officer, Sir Harry Burns, has published his annual report on Scotland’s health.

The report highlights some positive trends - such as declining mortality rates in Scotland's three biggest killers - cancer, coronary heart disease and stroke. It also warns that challenges remain, particularly in addressing obesity, poor diet and excessive alcohol consumption.

Visit the Scottish Government website to download the report and find out more.
