Funding through Flexible Training Opportunities

Private and voluntary organisations, with less than 150 employees, can apply for Flexible Training Opportunities (FTOs) to support:

  • supervisors and support workers in housing support, care at home and combined services
  • supervisors and support workers in adult day care services.

Employers can also apply for FTOs to support all groups of workers who are registered on a particular part of the SSSC's register, to achieve SVQ or higher education units which are not connected to their registration, but are valuable for career development.

SDS will fund 50% of costs paid retrospectively for training completed in 90 days, with up to £500* per learner towards costs of training for up to 10 employees, and an overall maximum of £5,000 available per organisation to improve business performance.
