Could you be team of the year in 2010? Only three weeks left to enter the Care Accolades 2010

Are you part of a hardworking social services team that deserves a pat on the back? Did your team go that extra mile to beat the recent severe weather conditions to look after people in their own homes, in residential care or early years services?

Is this just one of the extraordinary examples where staff have worked beyond the call of duty throughout the year?

The Care Accolades recognises the time, effort and commitment put in by social service workers in delivering high quality services.

Why not enter your team for the Care Accolades 2010 - team of the year in Scotland award and celebrate their success?

Team of the year in 2009 - Cornerstone, Forensic Services in Aberdeen's winning project helps adults with learning disabilities who have a history of offending get stability back in their lives. With no episodes of re-offending and the chance to go to college and gain placements, the results have been dramatic with major life changes for the people involved.

The Care Accolades is open to all social service organisations across all sectors in Scotland. Whether you work with children or adults, for a local authority, a charity, voluntary or private sector organisation, you can put forward examples of your team's excellent work for the Care Accolades 2010.

Winning a Care Accolade gives organisations the opportunity to celebrate the dedication of staff and excellent work that makes a difference to the lives of others every day.

Minister for Children and Early Years Adam Ingram said:
"Social service workers make a big difference to people's lives. The Care Accolades is an opportunity for people in the private, public and voluntary social service sector to be recognised for some of the superb and innovative work they do every day, delivering some of the most important services to people in communities across Scotland."
