30 September 2010 deadline for SSSC registration

Are you a practitioner working in a daycare of children service eg a nursery or out of school club? Or are you an early years employer?

If they haven't already registered with the SSSC, practitioners working in daycare of children services must get their applications in by 30 September 2010.

With just four weeks to go to apply to register with the SSSC it's vital that you don't miss the deadline so that applications are processed in time for required registration which comes in force on 30 September 2011.

Employers will be breaking the Scottish Government's new regulations and committing an offence if they employ a practitioner who should be registered. The SSSC will supply information on services where practitioners are not registered to the Care Commission who will take appropriate action.
