Opportunity to develop learning materials for the Mental Health Officer Award (MHOA)

This project has been instigated by the Scottish Government in support of the Mental Health Officer Awards (MHOA), currently being delivered by the North partnership as validated by The Robert Gordon University and being developed by the East and West Partnerships to be validated by the University of Edinburgh and the Glasgow School of Social Work (At Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities) respectively.

We are looking for writers to deliver materials about the following areas:
  • children and young people with mental disorders
  • working with mentally disordered offenders
  • acquired brain injury
  • duel diagnosis
  • learning disability
  • parents with mental disorders and the interface with child protection
  • adult protection and MHOs
  • assessing capacity
  • personality and mental disorders
  • development of materials to assist practice assessors.

The decision will be made on the basis of your submission in relation to your skills and experience. If you are successful, it is hoped that you will be notified by 1 May 2009.
