Practice Learning qualifications (Social Services) PLQ(SS)

Project to develop learning resources for the PLQ (SS)

Subject experts wanted now to write and develop learning resources for the PLQ (SS). We are currently looking to develop:
•    leadership
•    learning environments: Inter-professional environments
•    evidence-based practice: an introduction
•    linking practice and theory
•    anti-discriminatory practice with particular reference to race and culture
•    learning in group settings
•    working with groups of learners.

To date this project has contracted 4 of 11 learning resources and we have decided to now commission the remaining seven. We are looking for ‘subject experts’ to write texts on the range of subjects specified below. These will comprise case studies, text based handouts, reflective exercises, scripts for videos and so on. Your writing will be further developed into ‘bite sized’ digital learning resources (now sometimes called ‘learning objects’) available online and for e-learning. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a company which specialises in translating written work into a variety of media.

We invite proposals from individuals or organisations for the following:

Leadership
Learning environments: inter-professional environments
Evidence-based practice: an introduction
Linking practice and theory
Anti-discriminatory practice with particular reference to race and culture
Learning in group settings
Working with groups of learners

Please click the links above for further information on the learning resources.

If you are interested in contributing to this important development please read the attached specification document relevant to your area(s) of interest and submit your proposal by email to David Rennie at drennie@drennieconsulting.com by Friday 7 November. The decision will be made on the basis of your submission in relation to your skills and experience. If you are successful, it is hoped that you are able to meet with the support team on Thursday 27 November in Glasgow - to refine the detail of the learning resource you are to write.

If you wish further clarification or information, David is available by email as above or you can phone him at 07946 607532.
