A World to Win - Training the Workforce for the Future

The Scottish Social Services Council’s second annual conference took place at the Edinburgh Conference Centre on Tuesday 21 October 2003.

The conference explored the various routes to educating, training and developing staff to achieve a confident, competent workforce; capable of dealing with the growing demands of the 21st Century.

Conference delegates were treated to a full programme of keynote addresses and participatory workshops. Among the keynote speakers at the conference was Euan Robson, Deputy Minister for Young People, John McTernan, Professor Walter Lorenz, Lisa Curtice and Wendy Hall.
