The Scottish Social Services Council is responsible for maintaining standards in all social work and post-qualifying social work education and training in Scotland. These functions transferred to the SSSC from the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work (CCETSW) in October 2001. Course providers and students are still assessed against the CCETSW Quality Assurance requirements.
