Who can enter?

The Care Accolades is open to all social service organisations across all sectors in Scotland. Whether you work with children or adults, for a local authority, a charity, voluntary or private sector organisation, you can put forward excellent work for the Accolades.

Can I enter more than one category?

Yes, organisations can enter the same project for more than one category however you can't send the same submission for two categories.  Each submission must be entirely separate and on individual entry forms and the evidence has to cover the judging criteria for each specific category. 

The judges have commented before that it's important to consider the category you enter.  For example, last year we received some really good adult service projects for the innovation category but they failed to show the innovation.  They would have had a really good chance if they had chosen the adult services category.

We have two different early years projects, can we enter these different projects for the same category? 

Yes.

Our service isn't registered with the Care Inspectorate, can we still enter?

Yes.  Services and projects don't have to be registered with the Care Inspectorate.

Are the awards free to enter?

Yes.

Could we send a case study instead of completing the entry form?

No, each entry must be submitted on the official entry form which is available on the our website or hard copy.

Can you enter online?

Yes. Please enter online if possible. Please prepare your submission in advance and then copy and paste the information online.

Can we send in additional promotional material?

Please do not submit additional material. The judges don't have time to read it. If you are shortlisted, you will have the chance to meet with the judges and provide any additional material.

How will we know if we are shortlisted?

We will contact all shortlisted organisations by April 2012.  If you haven't been shortlisted you will receive a letter to let you know. Unfortunately the judging panel cannot provide individual feedback.

Our project is quite new, can we still enter?

Yes, as long as you can show you meet the criteria, including evidence of evaluation.

Can the deadline be extended?

The deadline for entries has been extended to Monday 20 February 2012. We cannot accept entries after the closing date.
