Workers in school care accommodation services - Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL)

The Post Registration Training and Learning requirements are set down by the SSSC's (Registration) Rules. These state the training and learning requirements that all registered residential child care workers must meet in order to ensure their continued suitability for registration.

 

All workers registered on this part of the Register are required to undertake 15 days or 90 hours of PRTL within their three year registration period regardless of the number of hours worked (ie this means even if you work part time you still have to do the same amount of PRTL as a full time member of staff).
