Social work students applying to be registered with the SSSC

The SSSC began registering student social workers Register of Social Service Workers in Scotland opened on 1 April 2003.

If you are a student on the new degree or postgraduate programme you must be registered with the SSSC for the duration of your course.

When you accept a place on a course your university will issue you with a Disclosure Scotland form which you should complete and return to the SSSC along with your verified ID documents, registration fee and completed application form. If you have accepted a place on more than one course, please just complete one application form.  If you are planning to take a gap year before starting your course, please do not apply for registration until the spring before you expect to begin your course.
