Procurement covers the whole process of acquisition of works, goods and services from third parties. The process includes the entire procurement cycle from the initial concept of assessing business need through to the end of a contract, or the end of the useful life of an asset.
The Scottish Social Services Council has a range of procurement procedures dependent on the value and nature of what is being purchased.
All of our business opportunities over £10,000 are advertised on the Public Contracts Scotland website. Interested suppliers must formally apply for these opportunities as they appear, and applicants will be considered in terms of their capacity and capability to supply our requirements. You can express your interest in these opportunities by registering as a supplier on the Public Contracts Scotland website. You will then be notified of any suitable contracts which you can then apply for.
Procurement Strategy
This strategy supports the shared service arrangement between the Care Inspectorate and SSSC, which includes the procurement and payment function.
