SSSC Rules and decisions guidance

These documents set out how we carry out our regulatory function and provide guidance to decision makers on when to apply the different sanctions available to them. 

The SSSC Combined Fitness to Practise Rules 2017

The Decisions Guidance

The Decisions Guidance helps decision makers (SSSC staff and Panels) reach fair and proportionate decisions, ensures consistency and transparency and helps those going through the process to understand how decisions are made.

Thresholds Policy

The Fitness to Practise Thresholds Policy sets out what referrals we will and will not consider.

We publish information about our hearings and decisions on our website. We may withhold health and other sensitive information.
