SSSC Rules and decisions guidance

These documents set out how we carry out our regulatory function and provide guidance to decision makers on when to apply the different sanctions available to them. 

The SSSC Combined Fitness to Practise Rules 2017

This is an unsigned document which combines the existing Fitness to Practice Rules 2016 with the Fitness to Practice (Amendment) Rules 2017. The Decisions Guidance

The Decisions Guidance helps decision makers (SSSC staff and Panels) reach fair and proportionate decisions, ensures consistency and transparency and helps those going through the process to understand how decisions are made.

Thresholds Policy

The Fitness to Practise Thresholds Policy sets out what referrals we will and will not consider.

Fitness to practise

Revised Codeds of Practice came into effect on the 1st of November 2016. The Codes set out the standards of practice and behaviour expected of social services workers and their employers.
