Cookie settings

The SSSC puts small files known as ‘cookies’ onto your computer to collect information about how you browse the site. SSSC cookies aren’t used to identify you personally and you will normally see a message on the site before we store a cookie on your computer.
These pieces of information are used measure how you use the website so it can be updated and improved based on your needs. Some examples of the SSSC’s use of cookies would be:

  • remembering the notifications you’ve seen so that we don’t show them to you again
  • recognising your device so you don't have to give the same information several times during one task
  • measuring how many people are using services, so they can be made easier to use and there's enough capacity to ensure they are fast
