SSSC responses to consultations

Our written responses to major external consultations are available on this page.

In the interests of ensuring maximum transparency, we make every effort to secure consent to publish all responses in full, subject only to necessary redactions in the interests of data protection. The SSSC has to comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.

In November 2017 the Scottish Government published ‘Empowering Schools: A consultation on the provisions of the Education (Scotland) Bill’. The SSSC’s response is attached. On 1 February 2018 we published an updated version of our response. This version includes some minor amendments and a bibliography.

The Scottish Parliament Health and Sport Committee held an inquiry into the impact of leaving the European Union on health and social care in Scotland. The SSSC’s response is attached.

The UK Department of Health and Social Care held a consultation on reforming the regulation system for healthcare professionals in the UK. The SSSC’s response is attached.

In December 2017 the Scottish Apprenticeship Advisory Board was seeking views on the definition of an apprenticeship. The SSSC’s response is attached.

The UK Parliament Scottish Affairs Committee held an inquiry on immigration and Scotland. The SSSC’s response is attached.
