Subject access request
Under the Data Protection Act 1998, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you. This is known as making a subject access request.
We have 40 days from the date we receive your request, fee and verification of identity to provide you with a response. Please note that asking for specific information may help us process your request sooner than if you request all your information. For example, you may only be looking for information between specific dates. However, we will always endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible.
Once we receive your request we will contact you to arrange payment and request verification of identity, such as a photo driving licence or passport, if not provided at this stage. The fee is £10 per request.
If you would like to make a request, please complete the form below and we will process your request as soon as possible.
Please note * indicates a required field
Alternatively, you can email your request to: firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
- your full name, address and email address
- date of birth
- how you would prefer we contact you, ie email or post
- registration/application number if you have applied or are registered with us
- details of the specific information you require and any relevant dates.
If you prefer, you can send your request in writing to:
Scottish Social Services Council
