Skills for Care: Sector Skills Council

The social care sector has been given approval to develop its own Sector Skills Council (SSC), called Skills for Care.

 

SSC's are employment led bodies that determine how their sector's overall workforce is to be developed to provide better quality services. They are licensed by government on the basis of recommendations from the Sector Skills Development Agency (SSDA).
