Care Accolades 2004

 

The first ever Care Accolades will celebrate and promote good practice in workforce development in social services.

 

The Care Accolades, an initiative between the Scottish Social Services Council, the Scottish Executive and Care and Health, will recognise good practice and innovation in social services in Scotland. Recruiting a well motivated workforce is essential for the future of social services. The Future Worker category recognises the commitment and enthusiasm that students can and will bring to the sector. Please click on Future worker poster to view a copy of the promotional poster.

 

The Future Worker Accolade is open to students studying towards a qualification in social care, social work, early education or childcare. To enter the Accolades, students must complete a 500-1000 word essay by 31 March 2004. The prize is a personal cheque for £1000 and a Care Accolades 2004 trophy.

The Care Accolades 2004 lunch and ceremony will be held at the Hub, Edinburgh on 16 June 2004. As well as the Future Worker category, there are six other categories, each to recognise good practice and innovation in social services in Scotland.
