Investors in People
The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) has been recognised as an Investor in People after achieving the Standard on the 29 November 2006. The award is given to organisations that have been formally recognised by Investors in People (IiP) as having a commitment to being progressive in supporting the training and development of their employees. The Standard also provides a framework that helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the effective management and development of their people.
In successfully gaining the IiP official recognition the SSSC has demonstrated it is focused on developing strategies to improve the performance of the organisation.
Over the past 12 years independent research has consistently shown that the Investors in People Standard provides real business benefits to organisations of all sizes and across all sectors. Research conducted among recognised Investor in People organisations has shown that 80% have increased levels of customer satisfaction and 70% have become more competitive and increased productivity.
There are over 30,000 recognised organisations in the UK employing over 27% of the UK workforce.
